Plans for New Power Generation in Idaho Could Double Capacity, an Industrial Info News Alert

Researched by Industrial Info Resources (Sugar Land, Texas) -- Developers are proposing more than 3,500 megawatts (MW) of new generation in Idaho. If these projects come to fruition, the state's generation capacity could increase by about 109%, bringing its capacity up from about 3,300 MW to about 6,900 MW. The Idaho Nuclear Energy Complex (Bruneau, Idaho), owned by Alternate Energy Holdings' (PINKSHEETS:AEHI) (Thaxton, Virginia) Idaho Energy Complex Corporation (Mountain Home, Idaho), is expected to supply about 1,600 MW of the new generation.
