Russia’s Lukoil Acquires Gas Station Chain, Oil Products Terminal in Croatia

May 1, 2008

MOSCOW. April 30 (Interfax) – Lukoil Europe Holdings B.V., a wholly owned subsidiary of Russia’s Lukoil (RTS: LKOH), has finalized the purchase of Europa-Mil, the owner of a chain of gas stations in Croatia, Lukoil said in a statement.

The chain includes nine gas stations in Zagreb and Split, five land plots at which gas stations are being built as well as a sea- and rail-based oil products terminal with capacity of 8,000 cubic meters in the city of Vukovar on the shore of the Dunai on the border with Serbia.

Average daily sales of oil products at the Europa-Mil gas stations totals 11 tonnes. Lukoil will deliver oil products to the gas stations from its refineries in Bulgaria and Romania.

Lukoil set up Lukoil Croatia d.o.o. in 2007 to manage assets it acquires in Croatia.

The gas stations will be rebranded before the end of 2008.
