AirAsia to Introduce Daily Flight From Kuala Lumpur to Tiruchirappalli

Malaysia-based budget airline AirAsia has announced that it will be introducing a daily flight between Kuala Lumpur and Tiruchirappalli in south India from October 2008, reported Indo-Asian News Service.
The carrier will reportedly offer a two-way flight for MYR400 (INR5,000 or approximately $125) inclusive of airport tax.
Makkal Osai, the Tamil daily, quoted Tony Fernandez, CEO of AirAsia, as saying that the new flights will provide budget travelers more opportunities to fly to India.
