Verizon Expands Wireless Data Coverage in New Haven County

Verizon Wireless has activated a new cell site in New Haven County, Connecticut. The new site increases high-speed wireless data coverage and capacity along I-84 between exits 11 and 13, as well as Lake Zoar and the surrounding area.
According to the company, it has invested more than $45 billion since it was formed to increase the coverage and capacity of its national network and to add new services like BroadbandAccess and V CAST.
According to Verizon, BroadbandAccess offers computer users high-speed wireless mobile broadband network, operating at average upload speeds between 500 and 800kbps, and download speeds between 600kbps and 1.4mbps over Verizon Wireless' BroadbandAccess with EV-DO Revision A network.
