EDF Energies Nouvelles to Build Five Wind Farms in Canada

EDF Energies Nouvelles has been selected by Hydro-Quebec Distribution to build five wind farms with 954MW in total capacity in Quebec, Canada.
Located in different regions of Quebec, the five wind farms, namely Aguanish - 80MW, Massif du Sud - 150MW, Lac Alfred - 300MW, Riviere du Moulin - 350MW and Clermont - 74MW, are due to be commissioned between year-end 2011 and year-end 2015.
The wind farms will be equipped with REpower turbines, each with 2MW in unit capacity. These five wind farms represent a total investment of C$2 billion, which will contribute to the Quebec economy.
