AirTran Airways Launches New Services From Milwaukee

AirTran Airways has launched a new nonstop service from General Mitchell International Airport in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Washington, District of Colombia.

The company has also launched additional flights from General Mitchell International Airport to Los Angeles International Airport in Los Angeles, California; Seattle-Tacoma International Airport in Seattle, Washington; San Francisco International Airport in San Francisco, California; and LaGuardia Airport in New York.

The company said that it will start nonstop services to Logan International Airport in Boston, Massachusetts; San Diego International Airport in San Diego and Las Vegas McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada, effective May 21, 2008.

With the addition of these new flights, AirTran Airways will provide 20 peak day departures to 13 nonstop destinations from Milwaukee. All routes will be served with the airline’s Boeing 737-700 and Boeing 717-200 aircraft.

Tad Hutcheson, vice president of marketing and sales at AirTran Airways, said: “We’re excited to provide Southeast Wisconsin with these additional flights from coast to coast. With the addition of our new nonstop flights, AirTran Airways will not only increase the options available to local residents, but will help bring more visitors to the city of festivals this summer.”
