Noranda Aluminum Files Registration Statement With SEC for Initial Public Offering

Noranda Aluminum Holding Corporation today announced that it has filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in connection with its proposed initial public offering of its common stock. Noranda Aluminum intends to apply to list its common stock on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "NOR."
Copies of the preliminary prospectus related to the offering may be obtained for free, when available, by visiting the SEC web site at http://www.sec.gov. Copies of the preliminary prospectus also may be obtained from the underwriters of the offering at addresses to be announced.
A registration statement relating to these securities has been filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission but has not yet become effective. These securities may not be sold nor may offers to buy be accepted prior to the time the registration statement becomes effective.
