Crude Oil Prices Rebound

Crude oil prices climbed steadily Tuesday as investors returned from a one-day retreat from oil, which rose more than 4 percent in price a week ago.

The price of oil closed near its record, reaching $125.86 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange Tuesday, a gain of $1.99 per barrel.

Heating oil prices fell 0.0039 cents in late trading to $3.695 per gallon. The price of reformulated gasoline blendstock rose 0.0019 cents to $3.2019 per gallon. Natural gas prices fell 0.017 cents to $11.405 per million British thermal units.

The price at the pump climbed to a national average record $3.732 for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline, up from Monday's price of $3.718 a gallon, AAA reported.
