Dorex Minerals Inc. (TSX VENTURE: DOX) -

The company reports that the Phase 1 diamond drilling program is progressing as scheduled on its 100% owned Carmelita property located within the IOCG belt of the Atacama Desert, Chile.

The 1000 meter diamond drill program was designed to test for widespread porphyry or IOCG (Iron Oxide Copper Gold) style mineralization as well as a smaller, higher grade structurally controlled shear zone hosted copper oxide mineralization.

Peter Walton President & CEO states "The drilling program is progressing very well without any complications or delays. We look forward to the quick return of the assay results from a nearby Chilean lab and we are preparing for further exploration on the Carmelita property. All assay results will be announced as they become available."

To date a total of 5 NQ core size holes were completed with depths ranging from 93.3 meters to 182.9 meters with a total of 658.6 meters drilled.

658.6 meters tested 5 anomalous zones.

A total of 271 core samples were taken, sent for assaying and will be tested for total copper, gold, silver, zinc and lead content.

All samples were collected in accordance with industry standards. Splits from the drill core samples were submitted to Act Labs Chile SA, in La Serena, Chile.
