Sun Country Airlines plans to lease a Boeing 737-700 aircraft for use during its busy summer travel season beginning in the next few weeks, and as a result, it is recalling pilots affected by staff reductions in April to accommodate the newly increased flying schedule.

The aircraft will join Sun Country's existing fleet of Boeing 737-800s and is configured for 12 first class and 112 coach seats. Sun Country will use the aircraft in regular scheduled service as well as for its military charter business.

Stan Gadek, president and CEO of Sun Country Airlines, said: "I am pleased that the aircraft has arrived in time for the summer. I look forward to welcoming back our pilots to regular flying status."
