Advanced Energy Appoints New Board Member

Advanced Energy Industries, which is engaged in the development of grid-connect inverters for the solar energy market, has appointed Edward Grady to its board of directors.

Mr Grady currently serves on the board of directors of Evergreen Solar, Verigy and Electro Scientific Industries.

Mr Grady was the president and CEO of Brooks Automation, a provider of automation solutions to the global semiconductor and related industries, until his retirement in October 2007, and continues to serve as a senior executive consultant. Prior to joining Brooks he was a partner at Propel Partners, a venture firm in Palo Alto, California.
