May 19, 2008
Shell Malaysia Trading plans to open 40 fuel stations in 2008, even as it has already opened 11 stations since January this year, according to the Star Online.
The website has quoted Datuk Mohzani Wahab, managing director of Shell Malaysia Trading, as saying: “We are spreading our investment throughout the country this year. We are also looking at investing in Sabah and Sarawak. We are looking at some sites in Kuching and Miri at the moment.”
The company currently has 900 stations in the country. Mr Mohzani has said that the new stations will be owned either by the company or by dealers. He said that Shell was mulling over its plan to introduce natural gas vehicle facilities at its stations.
