Copa Airlines has taken delivery of its 13th Embraer 190 aircraft. The company now has 39 aircraft in its fleet.
The Embraer 190 is part of Copa's fleet renewal plan to acquire fuel-efficient aircraft that help decrease greenhouse gas emissions.
The company claims that the aircraft is equipped with modern engineering design features, including high-performance GE engines and 'winglets', which reduce drag and fuel consumption. The Embraer 190 seats 94 passengers, 10 in business class and 84 in coach.
Pedro Heilbron, CEO of Copa Airlines, said: "The Embraer aircraft not only play a role in the growth of our route network, they also are environmentally friendly airplanes that allow us to be efficient in our fuel usage."
