Iberdrola Outlines Major Investment Plan for the US

Spanish utility Iberdrola has laid out plans to invest $8 billion in renewable energy projects in the US, between 2008 and 2010.
Iberdrola noted that it accounted for 2,400MW of installed wind power capacity in the US, at the end of the first quarter of 2008, and expects to achieve 3,600MW capacity in the country by the end of 2008.
The Spanish company has reportedly set a target of achieving a 15% market share in the US wind power market by 2010.
