Volvo Group April Truck Deliveries Up 44%

Volvo Group has reported that total truck deliveries from its four truck companies amounted to 24,616 units in April 2008, an increase of 44%, compared to 17,070 units in April 2007.
The company delivered 3,689 trucks in North America in April 2008, an increase of 202%, compared to 1,220 trucks in April 2007. Volvo’s truck deliveries in South America increased 42% to 1,547 units from 1,089 units in April 2007.
In Europe, truck deliveries increased 29% to 13,262 units from 10,264 in April 2007. In Asia, the company delivered 4,346 units, an increase of 59%, compared to 2,728 units in April 2007.
Year-to-date, Volvo Group delivered 90,507 trucks, up 42%, compared to 63,561 units in the same period of 2007.
