Accenture Acquires ATAN

Management consulting, technology services, and outsourcing company Accenture has agreed to acquire Brazilian IT and automation services provider ATAN for an undisclosed sum.

ATAN provides custom hardware and software through its Automation Technology, Industrial IT, and Special Solutions divisions.

Accenture said the acquisition will strengthen its capabilities in management consulting, systems integration, and technology consulting for the metals, mining, energy, and utilities industries.

Alexandre Oliveira, managing director at ATAN, said: “By becoming part of Accenture, we will not only gain access to the premier global operating platform, we will be able to apply our insights into industrial IT and automation offerings to a broader range of clients.”

The acquisition is expected to be completed by July.
