Mineral Deposits Limited: Sabodala Gold Project-Mining Fleet Arrives

Mineral Deposits Limited (TSX: MDM)(ASX: MDL) is pleased to announce that a portion of the main Mining Fleet has arrived on site, including two Pantera drill rigs and three Komatsu trucks. The Sabodala Gold Project ("Sabodala") is about 650 kilometres east of the capital Dakar in Senegal, west Africa.
Sabodala is now 58% complete and on schedule to commence processing in the December 2008 quarter.

SABODALA OPEN PIT
- The open pit is now at a depth of 35 metres and over one million tonnes of waste rock has been used to build the run-of-mine ("ROM") pad adjacent to the crusher station.
- The first production drill hole commenced during the week beginning 19 May 2008.
- On schedule to deliver 500,000 tonnes of ore to the ROM pad prior to start-up of the processing plant.

TWO MILLION TONNE PER YEAR PROCESSING PLANT
- Work has focused on completion of the ore crusher station, semi-autogenous grinding ("SAG") mill and ball mill, and the 25 Megawatt power station.
- The power station is under construction by Wartsila with completion likely in September 2008.
- The nine carbon-in-leach tanks are at various stages of erection.
- SAG and ball mill shells are on site and heads and trunnions are in transit.
- Pouring of the concrete foundations for the crusher station is in progress.

NEW ACCOMMODATION VILLAGE
- The new US$15 million accommodation village is now in operation and sleeping 385 persons. When the processing plant commences operation in the December 2008 quarter, the village will be capable of catering for up to 610 employees. MDL anticipates that when in full production, about 450 persons will be employed on site.
- At present, almost 800 people inclusive of contractors are housed at the village and the existing exploration camp.
MDL's Managing Director, Jeff Williams, commented that "the critical items are now on site or in transit and we are confident the processing plant will be commissioned in the December 2008 quarter".
