NAZRAN. May 26 (Interfax) - Power supply in Nazran has been partially restored as of Monday morning after power cuts caused by heavy showers and hurricane winds occurred the previous day.
At the same time, residents of the villages of Surkhakhi, Kantyshevo and Ekazhevo in the Nazran district, and the villages of Orjonikidzevskaya and Troitskaya in the Sunzha district are still without electricity, the Ingush Emergencies Ministry told Interfax.
All in all, more than 100,000 residents are without power.
All Ingush repair teams of engineers and rescuers are continuing to fix the grids supplying power to these areas.
It was reported earlier that a hurricane in Ingushetia left almost 200,000 people in the republic without electricity. No information about casualties or those injured as a result of the natural disaster has been received. However, in several populated areas properties and office buildings were severely damaged.
