Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Receives $2.6 Million Contract for Satellite Communications and Network Services

MELVILLE, N.Y., May 27, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq:CMTL) announced today that its Maryland-based subsidiary, Comtech Mobile Datacom Corporation, received a $2.6 million follow-on contract from the Joint Contracting Command (JCC) -- Iraq, to supply commercial transceivers, satellite capacity, program management, and related technical support services for Comtech's Quick Deploy Satellite System (QDSS). The QDSS is utilized by The Logistics Directorate of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Gulf Region Division (GRD), as part of a comprehensive plan to ensure the safe and efficient movement of supplies and equipment dedicated to Iraqi reconstruction efforts.
