Free Flow Power Corporation and Energy Systems Group, LLC Explore Development of Hydrokinetic Generating Facilities on the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers

Free Flow Power Corporation, a Massachusetts-based developer of hydrokinetic power generation facility and technology development company, and Energy Systems Group LLC, a nationally accredited and leading energy efficiency and performance contracting developer, announced today that they have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to explore development of hydroelectric power generation facilities on the Mississippi and Ohio River systems.

Free Flow Power has developed a turbine generator system designed to produce affordable electricity from moving water without dams or diversions. The company is pursuing the development of hydrokinetic generation at sites in the Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Niagara and Detroit Rivers.
Hydrokinetic or free flow hydro generation is the extraction of energy from moving water without requiring the construction of new dams or diversions. Hydrokinetic generation is possible from the flow of rivers, streams, conduits, currents, tides and waves.
