APPLETON: Great Northern Corporation, which provides custom packaging and distribution services, will receive $160,000 in Technology Zone tax credits to purchase equipment and create four new jobs. * AT&T signed a $ 1.1 million contract with Warehouse Specialists, Inc., an Appleton logistics and packaging distributor for printing, chemical and food companies in the U.S. * Baseman Floors painted and finished the giant halfcourt Final Four logo, which was beamed to millions of homes during the NCAA men’s college basketball tournament in San Antonio. * Red Barn Family Farms, a new Wisconsin family-owned dairy company, launched a premium brand of milk, which is available in Sendik’s Food Markets at the Grafton, Mequon and Franklin locations, with other select grocers to follow. Red Barn Family Farms is a procurement company that selects milk based not only on the quality of the product, but also on the treatment of the animals.

ASHWAUBENON: The Coated Products Division of Green Bay Packaging has replaced a rotary vacuum press with a centrifuge that will save the company electricity, water, landfill space and work hours. * NPS Corp. has signed a letter of intent to purchase Great Lakes Tissue Co. and U.S. Tissue in Cheboygan, Mich.

BRILLION: Professional Plating received a $7 million Industrial Revenue Bond for an $8.3 million expansion to its metal finishing, assembly and logistics production facility, which will become more efficient and add 32 jobs.

GREEN BAY: Schneider National added to its bulk division fuel- handling capabilities, which stem from the emergency fuel supply chain Schneider managed for FEMA and the DOT during Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts. Schneider also received the inaugural Innovator of the Year award from Kimberly-Clark for the assistance it provided in pioneering a transportation management system for K- C. * Bellin Hospital Laboratory has been awarded an accreditation by the Commission on Laboratory Accreditation of the College of American Pathologists. * The Fox River Ad Club awarded its first Mosaic Award to the advertising and design firm Arketype Inc., which was recognized for its efforts to promote diversity and issues related to multiculturalism.

GREEN LAKE: The Inland Real Estate Auctions Inc. will sell Wisconsin’s oldest golf course, The Tuscumbia Country Club, on May 30. The sale will also include a separate building for use as a bed and breakfast.

MANITOWOC: The Manitowoc Co. has received an order for 18 more U.S. Coast Guard vessels under a contract valued at $35 million. It also announced at ConExpo 2008 that it has formed a joint venture with the shareholders of TaiAn Dongyue Heavy Machinery Co. Ltd. for the production of mobile and truck-mounted hydraulic cranes. * Tower Tech Holdings Inc. has completed a corporate name change to Broadwind Energy Inc.

MENASHA: SCA Tissue added 115 rooftop solar panels, which will generate 22,000 annual kilowatt-hours of electricity.

NEENAH: Val-Fab Inc., a service-disabled, veteran-owned metal fabrication shop, was named the Federal Contractor of the Year – New Federal Contractor for the expansion of its production capacity and the addition of 80 employees. * Electronics manufacturing services provider Plexus Corp. will expand its North American manufacturing operations by relocating its 46,000-sq.ft. San Jose-area operation to a larger 48,000-sq.-ft. location eight miles down the road from its existing location. Plexus finalized a credit agreement that gives the firm access to $350 million in an unsecured credit agreement with an expanded bank group. * Menasha Packaging expanded its Wide Web printing facility at 1257 Gillingham Road after receiving approval on April 8 from the City of Neenah Plan Commission to add to its print shop by 44,000-sq.-ft.

OSHKOSH: Oshkosh Corp., formerly Oskosh Truck Corp., plans a $9- to $10-million expansion. According to Oshkosh CEO Robert Bohn, the money will go into office space, which is needed to support the growth of his business in Dubai, India, China and Russia. * Supple Group, the hospitality firm that runs Fratellos Waterfront Restaurants, opened in the 3rd Ward.

SHEBOYGAN: Sheboygan Christian School sold 10,000 pies and raised $60,000 at its annual apple-pie fundraiser, which will help fund a new $7 million school to be built on an 18-acre site. The school, which has 200 students, needs to raise $2 million by November 1 to get underway on the project.
