U.S. Diplomats Discuss Energy in Baku

BAKU. June 3 (Interfax) – U.S. State Department officials discussed shipments of Azeri oil and gas to the European market with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedyarov in Baku on Tuesday.
Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Matthew Bryza told journalists after the meeting that U.S. Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for South Asian Affairs Steven Mann also attended.
The diversification of Gas delivery routes, a matter very important to Europe, was discussed at the meeting, Bryza said.
Issues related to the Nabucco project were discussed as well.
