Frontier Airlines May Passenger Traffic Increases

Frontier Airlines has reported that its mainline revenue passenger miles in May 2008 increased 2.5% to 887.2 million, compared to 865.73 million in the same period of 2007.

The mainline available seat miles decreased 0.8% to 1.08 billion in May 2008, compared to 1.09 billion in the same period of 2007. This resulted in a mainline load factor of 82.2%, an increase of 2.6 points from May 2007, when the airline reported a mainline load factor of 79.6%.

The airline has carried 949,116 mainline passengers during May 2008, a 4% increase from May 2008. The airline has reported mainline passenger yield of 10.24 cents for the month of May 2008, an increase of 1.2%, compared to May 2007. Its mainline passenger revenue per available seat mile was 8.42 cents, up 0.37 cents or 4.6% from May 2007.

Lynx Aviation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Frontier Airlines, has reported revenue passenger miles of 24.34 million and available seat miles of 41.75 million respectively. This resulted in a load factor for May 2008 of 58.3%.

Lynx Aviation has carried 77,369 passengers during May 2008, generating passenger yield of 23.51 cents. Lynx Aviation passenger revenue per available seat mile was 13.71 cents and its average length of haul was 315 miles for May 2008.
