U.S. Gas Prices Bump Past $4 Per Gallon

Oil prices pulled back Monday from their record-breaking surge, as investors question how demand will hold with U.S. gas prices at more than $4 a gallon.
AAA said unleaded gasoline prices climbed to a national average of $4.005 Sunday, rising again Monday to $4.023 per gallon.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, crude oil prices rose more than $16 a gallon Thursday and Friday but dropped back from a peak of $139.12 per barrel to $136.67 per barrel Monday morning.
The price of heating oil fell 0.041 cents Monday to $3.933 per gallon. Reformulated blendstock gasoline prices fell 0.068 cents to $3.48 per gallon. Natural gas prices fell 0.015 cents to $12.678 per million British thermal units.
