Kria Resources Reports Exploration Results From Ruttan Project, Manitoba

Posted on: Tuesday, 10 June 2008, 12:00 CDT

Kria Resources today announced exploration results from its 2007-08 fall/winter drilling program at the Ruttan Mine Project located near Leaf Rapids, Manitoba. In all, Kria drilled 23 holes totaling 6,594 metres on the West Anomaly and Hanging Wall (HW) Zinc Zone of the former producing Ruttan mine during this program. Highlights include:

West Anomaly

- Hole R0711 intersected 6.65 meters grading 5.71% zinc and 0.70% copper.

- Hole R0712 intersected 19.10 metres grading 6.16% zinc and 0.41% copper, which includes 5.86 metres grading 10.30% zinc and 0.40% copper.

- Hole R0727 intersected 16.00 meters grading 5.60% zinc and 0.36% copper, which includes 4.00 meters grading 9.15% zinc and 0.20% copper.

HW Zinc Zone

- Hole R0801A intersected 9.90 meters grading 3.39% zinc and 0.17% copper and 3.90 meters grading 5.81% zinc and 0.12% copper.

Complete assay results are provided in Table 1 below. Longitudinal sections of the West Anomaly and HW Zinc Zone are shown in Figures 1 and 2 below.

A VTEM geophysical survey was completed on Ruttan in April and interpretation of the data is now underway. The results from the geophysical survey will be used to target extensions to the known mineralization. Kria expects to commence a drill program during the summer of 2008. Work on updating the resource estimate has commenced and will incorporate all of the recent drilling results.

Bore hole electromagnetic (BHEM) surveys are currently underway at Ruttan. Kria plans to utilize the results from these surveys to optimize drill targeting in the summer of 2008.

Dayle Rusk, P.Geo, Vice President of Exploration, stated, "The results from this drilling program are encouraging, and more importantly, these drill holes helped define the upper plunge area of the West Anomaly. Interesting values were intersected in the HW Zinc Zone, even though drill holes intersected the horizon above the intended target depth due to excessive shallowing of the hole inclination. Our approach at Ruttan has been to focus on areas outside the existing mineral outlines to increase the resource estimate we announced earlier this year. As well, we also hope to expand the current resource estimate with the wider intercepts in areas where information was previously limited."

About the Ruttan Project

The Ruttan Project, located 21 kilometres east of Leaf Rapids, Manitoba, is a copper-zinc sulphide orebody that was discovered in 1968. Production from the mine began in 1973 with continuous mine production for 29 years. Historical production from Ruttan has been reported to be approximately 55 million tonnes grading 1.23% copper and 1.41% zinc. Kria has the option to acquire 100% of Ruttan.

An initial National Instrument 43-101 compliant mineral resource estimate for the Ruttan Mine Project estimates inferred resources of 17.15 million tonnes grading 1.23% copper and 1.60% zinc using a 1.0% capped copper equivalent cut-off grade. This estimate does not include the results from this press release.

Quality Control

The Company employs a QA/QC protocol on all aspects of the analytical procedures. Core samples are sawn and one half of the NQ2 core is restored to the core box for future reference and the other half of the core is sent for analysis. Samples are taken in approximately 1.0 -metre intervals or less. Sample preparation was conducted at ALS Chemex facility in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada and assaying at their lab in Vancouver, BC. The assay method was multi-acid digest/ICP-AES and AAS techniques. A blank sample is inserted every 40th sample and standard commercially prepared samples representing a range of grades are inserted at intervals of 1 in 20 samples.

The Quality Control and all aspects of the exploration program are supervised by Kria Resources' Vice President of Exploration, Dayle Rusk, P. Geo., who is a Qualified Person as defined under National Instrument 43-101.

The technical contents of this press release have been supervised and reviewed by Steve Davies, P. Eng., Vice President Operations of Kria, and Dayle Rusk, P. Geo., Vice President Exploration of Kria, both of whom are Qualified Persons as defined under National Instrument 43-101.
