AirTran Airways has announced that it will launch two new daily non-stop flights between the Richmond International Airport in Virginia and the LaGuardia Airport in New York, beginning August 7, 2008.
The flights will be operated using Boeing 717 aircraft, part of the airline's young all-Boeing fleet.
Kevin Healy, senior vice president of marketing and planning for AirTran Airways, said: "We recognize the growing demand for both leisure and business routes in the Richmond market, and whether going to New York on business or vacation, our passengers will now be able to reach the Big Apple with ease on our quiet and fuel-efficient Boeing aircraft, featuring business class on every flight and XM Satellite Radio."
