Free Gas Card Gives You Freedom to Travel
BIG BEAR LAKE, Calif., June 12 /PRNewswire/ — As gas prices continue to skyrocket, vacation planners will seek gas-saving alternatives. This year for the first time Big Bear Lake Resort Association (BBLRA) offers a free $100 gas card for guests booking five or more nights at a participating lodge, or a free $50 gas card for guests booking a three or four nights’ stay at a participating lodge.
“We felt the only way to fight the gas price war is to up the ante on our gas cards,” said Big Bear Lake Resort Association CEO Ken Brengle. “We figure guests who stay three or more nights should receive more value. What better way than fill up their gas tanks?”
The scenery along Big Bear’s mountain highways is worth the drive in itself. Fresh air, blue skies, green pines, blooming wildflowers and mellow temperatures combine to deliver a great drive with a gas card reward at the end. Favorite springtime and summer activities in Big Bear include boating, hiking, off-roading, horseback riding, mountain biking, and golf. This year the fishing season is expected to get an extra boost because the lake is brim full.
“We may have some guests use their gas cards to fill up their fishing boats!” added Brengle.
BBLRA will also offer its standard complimentary $25 gas card for guests staying one or two nights at a participating lodge. The free gas offer for $25, $50 and $100 ends November 23, 2008 (non-holiday). Minimum night stays vary per lodge, and other restrictions may apply. The free gas card promotion must be mentioned at the time of booking. A $25, $50 or $100 Arco Gas Card, redeemable at participating Arco gas stations, will be given to the guest at check-in. Limit one gas card per reservation. This offer may not be used in combination with any other offer.
