GOLD 2009 Issues Call for Papers

The World Gold Council and the University of Heidelberg have issued the first call for papers for GOLD 2009, the 5th International Conference on Gold Science, Technology and its Applications. The conference will be held at the University of Heidelberg, Germany, July 26-29, 2009. It will cover all aspects of the science, technology and applications of gold under the principal themes of catalysis, chemistry, nanotechnology and materials. Christopher W Corti of the World Gold Council is chair of the organizing committee. Online abstract submission opens Sept. 1, 2008 and the deadline for abstract submission is Jan. 15, 2009. Authors will be notified of acceptance by April 2, 2009. Abstracts for proposed oral papers or posters should be submitted on the conference Web site at www. gold2009.org, where details of the full scope of the conference will be found. Submissions focused on end applications are particularly encouraged. Online registration began May 2, 2008.
