Marketing Upgrades Planned at Unity Airport

Big changes are planned this summer inside the terminal at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport in Unity.

Clear Channel Interspace Airport Advertising is partnering with airport officials to develop a "Community Showcase" program to offer local and regional businesses a chance to gain higher exposure at the facility near Latrobe.

"We're extremely excited about the new look this will create in our terminal," said Gabe Monzo, airport manager and executive director of the Westmoreland County Airport Authority. "This update will better position us for air service and other opportunities and make this gateway to our region more eye-catching to all visitors."

The Allentown-based firm plans to update interior marketing displays in the terminal with a 46-inch laser compact disc display, vivid wall murals and an updated reservation station. Installation will begin in August.

"Passengers from this region visit hundreds of airports around the world and they see all kinds of terminal designs. We feel that ours should reflect the caliber of the region it serves," Monzo said.

Clear Channel Interspace Airport Advertising handles more than 200 airport programs through North and Central America, the Caribbean and the Pacific Rim.
