OutBack Power Systems Welcomes Jim Goodnight to Its Team

OutBack Power Systems, Inc. (http://www.outbackpower.com), a manufacturer of reliable and durable power electronics products for renewable energy applications worldwide, welcomed today James W.P. Goodnight, a well-known solar energy system technical consultant to its growing team.
Mr. Goodnight will serve as the Eastern Regional Sales Manager for alternative energy, focusing on expanding OutBack's sales in the eastern Untied States and Canada and providing a high level of technical expertise for off-grid, grid-tie with battery back-up (Grid Interactive), and back-up power solutions. His territories will include the East Coast and Midwestern regions of the United States as well as Eastern Canada, where significant weather events such as thunderstorms, ice storms, hurricanes, and an aging utility grid combine to disrupt power on a regular basis, requiring highly durable and reliable power electronic solutions.

Mr. Goodnight brings nearly 35 years of experience as a technical program manager, engineer and designer to the company, with an emphasis during the last five years on PV systems applications engineering, design and performance optimization, and NEC compliance. He's an active senior technical contributor to the OutBack Power Systems' forum, as well as the moderator for the Northern Arizona Wind & Sun (NAWS) forum. Mr. Goodnight will increase OutBack Power System's East Coast representation, providing the region with a resident sales and technical resource.
