Globecomm Wins $1.2 Million Infrastructure Contract

Globecomm Systems, a provider of satellite-based communications infrastructure solutions and services, has won an infrastructure contract from a mobile telecommunications operator valued at $1.2 million.

Globecomm will design, integrate and install satellite infrastructure in the country of Panama consisting of a major hub and six remote sites. Once complete, the infrastructure will expand the customer’s network footprint enabling the transmission of IP-based data and voice traffic via remote GSM cellular backhaul for the telecom operator.
