Jordan Valley Semiconductors LTD Names Meir Mimon Vice President of Sales and Marketing

MIGDAL HA'EMEK, Israel, June 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Jordan Valley Semiconductors LTD, the leading provider of semiconductor metrology solutions, has tapped Meir Mimon as Worldwide VP of Sales and Marketing. Mr. Mimon will lead Jordan Valley's aggressive growth strategy, with a focus on enhancing worldwide customer support operations and increasing Jordan Valley's market share in the thin film and materials characterization metrology market segments.

The announcement follows Jordan Valley's recent acquisition of Bede, effective April 14th, 2008. Bede is the leading supplier of HRXRD (High Resolution XRD) metrology for the semiconductor and compound industries with revenues of $11.6M in 2007.

Mr. Meir Mimon joined Jordan Valley in January 2008 as the VP of Business Development, responsible for the Bede acquisition project ended in Apr 2008 when JV acquired the assets, IP's and technology of Bede, UK.

Previously, Mr. Mimon served as the corporate sales director for KLA-Tencor's metrology group and overlay division based in San Jose, CA. While in this role, he helped increase KLA-Tencor's revenue and market share in the semiconductor overlay metrology market.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Mimon held numerous sales and management positions with market leaders in computer/communication and capital equipment markets, including DEC (Digital Equipment Corporation), Pelephone Israel, and Orbotech -- a leading company in PCB and FPD inspection. He earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Haifa University, and an MBA from Heriott-Watt University. In 2007, Mr. Mimon completed his Executive MBA degree from TIM (Technion Institution of Management) in Israel.
