Energy major Gaz de France and Credit Agricole-owned banking firm LCL have begun the sale of fixed-price natural gas and electricity contracts to retail customers throughout France.
Gaz de France (GDF) noted that, with almost 1,200 contracts sold in the space of six months in the trial regions of the Loire Valley and Normandy, this partnership has satisfied the expectations of a retail clientele looking for simplicity and efficiency.
The trial has reportedly demonstrated the potential for the distribution of such contracts on a major scale every year. The DolceVita-2 Energies offers, available at LCL branches, feature natural gas and electricity supplied at fixed prices for either one or two years, and will help to promote electricity generated from renewable sources.
As part of the jointly designed sales process, an LCL advisor recommends the package best suited to the customer's needs, arranges the signing of the contract and sends it in real time to Gaz de France, the energy supplier.
