Sun Country Airlines Introduces Credit Card Payment System

June 18, 2008

Sun Country Airlines has introduced its cashless cabin project in which Visa and MasterCard will be accepted as payment for items available for sale onboard flights.

Visa and MasterCard will be accepted for payment for all the items Sun Country passengers can purchase in-flight. It is anticipated that the new payment process will allow flight attendants to more efficiently serve passengers in-flight.

The payments will typically be posted to the consumer’s credit card within 24 hours of the transaction. The airline said that it will not accept other credit cards, cash and checks except Visa and MasterCard credit and debit.

Stan Gadek, CEO of Sun Country Airlines, said: “We are proud to announce the launch of our in-flight credit-card payment program. As a customer-focused airline, we feel that the acceptance of Visa and MasterCards as forms of payment in-flight will enhance the experience customers already have when flying Sun Country.”
