Comtech Mobile Datacom Receives $19.8 Million US Army Contract

Comtech Telecommunications has announced that its subsidiary Comtech Mobile Datacom has received orders totaling $19.8 million under its Movement Tracking System, or MTS contract, with the US Army. Total orders received to date against the $605.1 million MTS contract increased to $120.4 million.

The orders are for the supply of MTS systems, which feature Comtech's Model MT-2012 mobile satellite transceivers integrated with control station computers, additional MT-2012 mobile satellite transceivers, installation kits, miscellaneous hardware, and field service support.

Comtech's Model MT-2012 Transceiver features Savi Technology's ISO-compliant EchoPoint RFID reader, as well as GPS capabilities. The orders are in support of ongoing MTS program activities in the US and abroad.

Fred Kornberg, president and CEO of Comtech Telecommunications, said: "We are pleased to receive these latest MTS orders, and look forward to supporting the future communication requirements of the MTS Program and other critical Department of Defense programs."
