Tilaknagar Industries to Invest INR1.5 Billion in Two Beverage Plants

Tilaknagar Industries, a manufacturer of alcoholic beverages, intends to expand the capacity of its plant in Srirampur, Maharashtra and set up a grain distillery plant as well. For this, the company has allocated INR1.5 billion.

According to the company, through debt, equity and internal accruals, it will raise funds for this investment.

The Press Trust of India quoted Amit Dhanukar, chairman and managing director of Tilaknagar Industries, as saying: “We plan to enhance our Srirampur (Ahmednagar) plant’s capacity to 100kl per day (klpd) from the existing 50klpd.”

The company is also establishing a greenfield plant for manufacturing grain spirit-based alcohol. The company is looking for suitable sites in Maharashtra to set up this new plant.
