Toyota’s China JV to Build New Production Line for Camry Sedan

Toyota Motor's joint venture with Guangzhou Automobile is planning to invest $380 million to build a new production line in China, which will help step up the production of the Camry sedan, reported Reuters.

It is reported that Guangzhou Toyota Motor will start the second production line at its factory in Guangdong in 2009 with an annual production capacity of 120,000 units. This will reportedly take the company's total output to 320,000 cars.

The joint venture plans to increase the capacity of the new line to 200,000 cars in the future.
