E-One Moli Introducing New Li-Ion Battery for Power Application at IMLB 2008

Posted on: Friday, 20 June 2008, 03:00 CDT

E-One Moli Energy Corp.(Molicel), a global lithium-ion battery developer and manufacturer, will introduce its new generation of high power lithium-ion battery at the 14th International Meeting on Lithium Batteries (IMLB 2008) starting Sunday in Tianjin, China.

E-one Moli uses advanced spinel technology to develop a new formula of high power lithium-ion battery. Instead of the 1st recipe, the new generation of manganese (spinel)-based lithium-ion battery features great rate capability and superior cycle life. It is to match LiFePO4 cell with longer cycle and calendar life.

The new high power battery offers a capacity retention rate of more than 80% after 1200 cycles and excellent safety, even under harsh environments. With the advanced spinel technology, E-One Moli provides the industry with a new level of power source that promises high power density, excellent safety, long cycle life, and low material cost.

E-One Moli will launch this reliable, cost-effective solution at IMLB 2008. "It could be a new platform in cordless power tools, cordless garden tools, electric bicycles, HEV and PHEV," said by Dr. Wang, the R&D Director of E-one Moli.
