Iranian Oil Company Producing Over 1m Barrels Per Day
Text of report by Iranian state-run provincial TV from Khuzestan on 20 June
The managing director of Karun Oil and Gas Company [Mr Mojtahedi] has said that the company's production has exceeded 1,050,000 barrels per day.
Mojtahedi said the production increase took place in the first three months of the current [Iranian] year [20 March - 20 June], and added that the company's crude oil comes from the following six oilfields: Ahvaz, Mansuri, Abteymur, Ramin, Darkhoveyn and Azadegan.
On major repairs to the company's oil storage facilities, said as a result of adopted measures in this area, the company has saved 700m dollars.
The managing director of Karun Oil and Gas Company said the company has lowered the rate of incidents to zero and won an award for being the best company in observing health, safety and environmental issues. He added that the successes of the company were the result of planning, coordination with managers of the National Iranian Oilfields Company and collective efforts of the company's [Karun Oil and Gas Company] employees.
