Ankara, 21 June: Turkish Energy & Natural Sources Minister Hilmi Guler said on Saturday [21 June] that new route of Samsun-Ceyhan part of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Oil Pipeline was shortened 100 kilometres.
Guler said the project was planned to start to operate in 2010.
“Change in the route of the pipeline did not have an impact on investment plan. Furthermore, it is more appropriate with respect to areas where harbours, storage facilities and other necessary facilities would be deployed,” he said.
