Goshen Medical Practice to Build New Facility
By Justin Cripe, Goshen News, Ind.
Jun. 21–Goshen Medical Practice broke ground Wednesday for a new medical facility.
The 10,200-square-foot building will be located at 2240 Karisa Drive, off C.R. 27 in the new Dierdorff Square professional development.
The medical complex will house the office of Dr. Dicky Bhagat M.D. and his nurse practitioner, Ingrid Bowser. This new location adjoins the southeast corner of the Greencroft Retirement Center property.
“The location couldn’t be better for what he was looking for,” said Shane Dyer, architect for Majority Builders Inc., South Bend.
Dr. Bhagat, an internist, has been in practice in Goshen since 2001. In July of 2006, Bowser joined his staff. She is also board certified in diabetes management. The new office will allow Bhagat to expand his practice as well as provide optimum workflow and efficiency.
“Everything really just fell into place,” Bhagat said.
Patient care and comfort were primary concerns for Bhagat when designing his new office. The site was selected because of its close proximity to Greencroft with the hope of providing easy access for his many patients who reside on Greencroft’s property.
The new facility will also offer patients larger, more comfortable waiting areas and exam rooms. Goshen Medical Practice will continue to offer open access scheduling, which means established patients can usually see a provider within 24 hours of calling for an appointment.
The project is expected to be completed in the spring of 2009. For more information and progress reports, go to www.dierdorffsquare.com.
