Universal Well Site Solutions Moves into China in Strategic Partnership With Beijing Orion Co.

Universal Well Site Solutions, a leader in providing wireless technology, hardware, software and total solutions for operators in the coal bed methane (CBM) industry, announces the opening of its China market through a distribution partnership with Beijing Orion Co. Ltd.

As a turnkey contractor for the China CBM market and a leading company for multi-lateral drilling (MLD) wells in China, Orion has more than 39 percent of China's MLD wells. The company also has a significant business in vertical wells.

Beijing Orion is a member of the China United Coal Bed Methane National Engineering Research Center, a consortium funded and formed in late 2007 to boost the emergence of the coal bed methane industry in China. In addition to Orion, the consortium includes China United Coal Bed Methane Corp Ltd. (CUCBM), PetroChina, Sinopec, Huaibei Mining Group and China University of Geosciences (Beijing).
