Citibank has launched the Citi Travel Pass credit card in the UAE, reported AME Info.com. The new Visa card enables users to pool their points earned on card spends and use them to get airline tickets.
Citi Travel Pass holders can also get two free return flight vouchers to locations in India, Thailand, South Africa, Egypt and Lebanon. They will be qualified for the first free flight once they spend Dhs2,000 on the card and the second one after they spend Dhs30,000 within 12 months of taking the membership.
AME Info.com has quoted Dean Proctor, Citibank's cards business head in the UAE, as saying: "With a 20% per annum growth and market spend crossing $7 billion by end of 2007, the UAE travel market is ranked among the most dynamic frequent flyer markets around the globe. This certainly calls for a solid card proposition, such as Citi Travel Pass, to address the growing travel needs of UAE residents, especially with the increased choice of airlines operating in the country."
The card holders can also avail travel benefits including ticket discounts of up to 15% on select airlines, and holiday packages and cruises through complementary membership with 'Our Vacation Club'.
