Ruhrgas, Erdgas Mobil, Ecogaz to Invest 24 Mln Euro in Gas Supply Infrastructure in Sochi

MOSCOW. June 24 (Interfax) - E.ON Ruhrgas AG is taking part in a project to build 20 gas filling and gas distributing stations in Sochi worth 24 million euro, E.ON Ruhrgas AG CEO Bernhard Reutersberg told a news conference in Moscow on Tuesday.

"We plan to take part in the delivery and the turnkey construction of 20 gas filling stations in Sochi, which will host the Olympic Games in 2014," Reutersberg said.

The project will be implemented by Germany's Erdgas Mobbil (Hesse) and Russia's Ecogaz, he said.

"Wider use of natural gas as one of the most environment- friendly fuels will help Olympic Sochi meet the highest environmental requirements," he said.

Erdgas Mobil was established by several German gas companies to build gas filling stations. The company has built over 700 gas filling stations in Germany.
