Royal Jordanian Passenger Traffic Up 30% in May
Royal Jordanian Airlines has transported 215,000 passengers in May 2008, an increase of 30%, compared to 166,000 passengers in May 2007.
Additionally, the carrier’s seat factor average increased from 64% to 70% during the same period. Fuel prices grew by 110% over that of May 2007. During the first five months of 2008, the number of passengers went up by 21% while fuel expenses increased by 91%, compared to the same period of 2007.
Samer Majali, president and CEO of Royal Jordanian, said: “There has been growing demand on all Royal Jordanian’s 55 destinations this year, because of the services offered to passengers, the modern fleet of aircraft recently acquired and the electronic systems that facilitate travel procedures at the airport.”
