Posted on: Wednesday, 25 June 2008, 15:02 CDT
Gold Resource Corporation (GRC) (OTCBB: GORO) (FRANKFURT: GIH) is pleased to report continued high-grade gold intercepts at El Rey including 3 meters of 31.5 g/t (1.01 oz/tonne) gold and 1.4 meters of 55.3 g/t (1.78 oz/tonne) gold. El Rey is one of 4 properties in the state of Oaxaca, Mexico in which GRC has 100% interest. El Rey is being evaluated for accelerated development where high-grade gold ore could potentially be trucked 95 kilometers to GRC's El Aguila mill, currently under construction. The Aguila mill is targeting gold production at the company's flagship project, its El Aguila Project, by the end of 2008 subject to timely obtaining the remaining required permits, regulatory approvals and equipment delivery schedules.

Mr. William W. Reid, President of Gold Resource Corporation, stated, "Drilling at El Rey continues to show great promise. These high-grade intercepts, coupled with our previous drilling (see Aug. 29 & Oct. 17, 2007 press releases) which included 1 meter of 132 g/t gold, are very exciting. Though our main focus has been and will continue to be the Company's flagship El Aguila Project, additional exploration is warranted at El Rey."
Mr. Reid continued, "Initial test results for metallurgical recovery at El Rey (see Jan. 8, 2008 press release) resulted in gold recoveries up to 94% and silver recoveries up to 75%. These recoveries give El Rey the potential economics to fit into a plan to truck high-grade gold ore from the El Rey property to GRC's Aguila mill currently under construction. We are continuing to evaluate El Rey mineralized material with the goal of possibly blending it into our first year's production schedule."
