Spirit Airlines to Launch Non-Stop Service From Ft Lauderdale to Bogota

Spirit Airlines has announced that it will offer daily non-stop service from its Ft Lauderdale base in Florida, US, to Bogota, Colombia, starting July 24, 2008.
The airline said that the new route will be operated by its new Airbus fleet. In addition to this new non-stop service from Ft Lauderdale, Spirit also offers connections from its network of 16 other destinations in the US, to passengers flying from Bogota.
Barry Biffle, chief marketing officer of Spirit Airlines, said: "We are excited about liberating millions of Colombians in Bogota from high fares as we have already done in Cartagena and other cities in the region. This new service will offer over 100 million people low fare access to Bogota through our Ft Lauderdale gateway."
