Spanair, a subsidiary of the Scandinavian Airlines System Group, has increased its number of flights between Barcelona, Spain, and Algiers, Algeria, by adding four additional frequencies, offering six weekly flights between both cities.

The airline said that the BarcelonaAlgiers route has several connection possibilities with Spanair domestic flights to and from the cities of Malaga, A Coruna, Vigo, Madrid, Oviedo, Palma de Mallorca and Seville, as well as with the international flights offered by Spanair and Star Alliance’s member carriers to Frankfurt, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Lisbon, Munich and Zurich.

Marcus Hedblom, CEO of Spanair, said: “The development of Spanair’s flight network to North Africa, a strategic market for the company, is designed to cover the increasing needs of costumers, especially those passengers traveling for business reasons.”
