BT Latam Colombia Selects iDirect to Support Government Initiative

VT iDirect has announced that its satellite communications platform was chosen by BT Latam Colombia, a division of BT Group and a provider of communications services in Latin America, to support a high-speed IP satellite network that will enable the Colombian government to improve the collection and management of real estate property records.

BT Latam Colombia will manage a network of more than 60 iDirect iNFINITI 3100 Series satellite routers installed throughout Colombia.

According to iDirect, the new network will bring broadband connectivity to local government bureaus located beyond the reach of terrestrial lines, better enabling remote agency offices to integrate time-sensitive information directly into the country’s national property database.
