Urban Theme for Thainox Design Contest

Jun. 30–Thainox Stainless Plc, the country’s largest stainless steel producer, is hosting the Thainox Design Award Contest 2008 (TDA) to promote stainless steel product designs and wider use of the product.

This year’s theme, “Design for Better Quality of Life”, would focus on product designs for urban consumers, said managing director Jean-Paul Thevenin. The focus would be on uses for stainless steel in high-rise condominiums, with applications for kitchenware and decorative items with commercial potential.

Prizes total 300,000 baht and the wining designs would be further promoted at international design competitions.
